I have two strong memories from the year I served as President. One is the creation and burying of a time capsule from 2000 in the garden. It certainly put things in perspective to write a letter that I knew would not be read for 100 years - when not only I would be gone, but likely my young children as well. The second, more personal, memory is the calling of Walter Klauss as Minister of Music at All Souls. We held a congregational meeting to vote to call him to this position, recognizing that his role at the church went far beyond Music Director and was worthy of the term "minister." Needless to say, the vote was unanimous and overwhelmingly positive!
